Artisans from the Iranian provinces of Mazandaran, Isfahan, Qazvin, Alborz, Khuzestan, and Fars presented Iranian handicrafts at the 50th international handicrafts expo held in Berlin, Germany, November 12-16. Before the end of the Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2015) Iranian artisans are also scheduled to participate in Italian as well as Chinese expos.
Among the handicrafts presented were Persian kilims (a type of rug), toreutics (decorative metalwork), khatam ( a Persian version of marquetry), Persian mosaics, traditional stones, traditional ornaments, and wood carvings.
