Some ancient earthen vessels were discovered in Basht city, south Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad Province, IRNA quoted Sogoli Salehi, provincial head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) as saying.

The vessels, dating back to the first millennium BC, were accidentally found during a burial in a graveyard in the center of the city.

The findings include two brown bowls which are to be studied and cataloged by the archaeologists of the provincial cultural heritage department, when they arrive in the city.

After being cataloged the artifacts will be transferred to the heritage museum of Yasuj, the capital of Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad Province.
