Cyprus has identified Iran’s hotel sector as a prime investment opportunity and is looking to cooperate with Tehran to build more hotels, the chairman of Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation said. During a meeting last week with Mohammad Taqi Hosseini, Labor Ministry’s deputy head for international affairs, Christos Michaelides also said the level of cooperation between the two nations is improving, according to the Labor Ministry’s official news portal. Newly-established Cypriot airline Cobalt has announced plans to launch direct flights between Larnaca and Tehran, which is expected to boost tourism between the two countries. Currently, charter flights operating only at specific times of the year offer direct flights to Cyprus.
