On the occasion of the National Blood Donation Week (July 26–August 1), residents of Tehran who donate blood during this period will be given free Tehran tour tickets. The undertaking is a result of collaboration between the provincial office of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, District 6 of Tehran Municipality, Iran’s Blood Transfusion Organization and the Tourism Headquarters of TM. It aims to promote blood donation as well as the attractions of Tehran. The official website of Tehran’s IBTO (www.tbtc.ir) provides more information on the scheme, IRNA reported. “Tehran’s ICHHTO has launched a campaign to offer tours of Tehran on special occasions in cooperation with other public entities,” said Rajabali Khosroabadi, the head of Tehran’s ICHHTO office. July 30 is the national day of blood donation.
