A woman who gave birth on a Jetstar Asia flight has named the child after the airline. Saw Jet Star was 3 kilograms when he was born on the Flight 3K583 after it landed in Yangon, Myanmar, on April 22. “Both mother and son are in good health and have been discharged from the local hospital in Yangon,” the Singapore-based airline said in a Facebook post this week, NBC News reported. Three doctors were on the flight from Singapore to Yangon and the baby was delivered by the doctors and crew members after the plane landed, according to Jetstar Asia. Jetstar Asia posted the photos on Facebook of a baby boy born on a flight on April 22. The airline said it was donating around $744 worth of baby supplies to the family. Jetstar requires anyone pregnant more than 28 weeks to carry a medical letter certifying air travel is safe, and allows those up to 40 weeks pregnant, or about 10 months, to travel on flights of four hours or less.
