As per an agreement between Iran and Turkey, Tehran will host the Joint Technical Tourism Committee in 2017.
During the 25th meeting of the Iran-Turkey Joint Commission for Economic, Commercial and Cultural Cooperation held 7-9 April in Ankara, officials from both sides agreed that Turkey and Iran host the JTTC in 2016 and 2017 respectively, Mehr News Agency reported.
“Both states will have the opportunity to promote their tourism potential as well as encourage investment in this sector,” said Rajabali Khosroabadi, the director of the office of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization in Tehran, who had participated in the meeting with Morteza Rahmani Movahed, tourism deputy at the ICHHTO.
“The committee will help address obstacles preventing growth in the sector and will serve as a platform for both countries to strengthen tourism cooperation,” he added.
