Iran and Denmark will sign a memorandum of understanding for scientific, educational and research cooperation in archaeology and relevant areas.

The memorandum will be signed in the Danish capital Copenhagen between the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies of the University of Copenhagen and Iran’s Research Institute for Cultural Heritage and Tourism, IRNA reported.

An Iranian delegation led by RICHT director Muhammad Beheshti will travel to the Scandinavian country later this week on a three-day visit.

The group will include Alireza Hassanzadeh, head of the Anthropological Research Center at RICHT and Abbas Moqaddam, a prominent archeologist, as well as teachers from Razi University of Kermanshah.

During their visit a ceremony will be held to honor Danish researchers who have devoted their academic life to studying Iran and its culture.

At the request of the Danes, the Iranian delegation will hold a two-day workshop on archeology.

The delegation will also attend an Iranology lecture at the University of Copenhagen, and visit the Christian Ludwig David Museum, Rosenberg Castle Gardens and the Center for Geogenetics at the Natural History Museum of Denmark.
