Cham Wings Airlines launched its maiden flight from Damascus International Airport to Imam Khomeini International Airport 30 kilometers south of Tehran on Sunday, as part of its plan to widen outbound flights to reach all Syrian communities abroad in a step to reduce travel difficulties they are facing. The airline plans to run three flights weekly from Damascus to Tehran, Syria Online reported. The company said in a statement that passengers using Cham Wings flight can continue their journey to other important stations in China and East Asia. The privately-owned company runs flights between Damascus and Kuwait, Muscat, Khartoum, Baghdad, Beirut, Doha and Istanbul, in addition to internal flights between Damascus and Qamishli city in northeastern Syria.
