Iran and Azerbaijan will enhance cooperation in the tourism field, the governor-general of Isfahan Province, Rasoul Zargarpour, told Baku-based news agency APA. He said he has invited Azerbaijan’s tourism officials and business leaders to Isfahan in an effort to discuss possible areas of cooperation and devise a roadmap for future collaboration. “There is a great potential for cooperation between the two nations due to their cultural, religious and historical bonds,” the official said, adding that the two countries can and should expand cooperate in cultural, tourism, and medical fields. “Isfahan is not only the cultural capital of the Islamic world, but the whole world is interested in the tourism sites of Isfahan. There are more than 1,000 cultural heritage sites and 90 tourism zones in Isfahan,” he said.
