Iran Air, the national flag carrier, is considering increasing its flights to Italy to three a week. Speaking at a cultural event to promote ties between Iran and Italy in Vimodrone, a small suburb of Milan, Kourosh Muhammad Khorasani, the airline’s representative in Italy, told a packed auditorium that the company will increase its weekly flights from one to three per week, following the surge in demand to visit Iran, IRIB News Agency reported. The airline is set to add 118 new planes to its aging fleet, after President Hassan Rouhani signed a $10.5 billion deal with the French plane maker Airbus last month in Paris.
