Tourist Attractions on Social Networks

Pages and channels of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization have been launched in BisPhone, Telegram, Aparat, Lenzor and Instagram. Tens of thousands of people use the published contents each day, a public relations official at the ICHHTO, Hamid Ziaeeparvar said.
Following recommendations by ICHHTO head, Masoud Soltanifar, its public relations office is using social networks to create public awareness at home and abroad about Iran’s tourist destinations, Ziaeeparvar said, IRNA reported.
In a meeting with provincial public relations managers last month, Soltanifar had said that no medium can do the awareness exercise better and faster than the social networks. “So what is needed is efficient management of such networks.”
 Almost a year has passed since ICHHTO launched its channel on Aparat video sharing network. A total of 1,724 videos have been published by its public relations department on the network, which are seen by tens of thousands of visitors each day. The videos on Aparat are being republished by other websites such as tourismiran.ir.
Among state-run bodies, ICHHTO has the highest number of uploaded videos on Aparat. The organization has reached an agreement with “Iran Landscape”, a tourism social network, on uploading multimedia contents to the network at iranlandscape.com.
