By the end of this Iranian calendar year (ending 20 March), Mashhad will be the first city in Iran to have its metro system linked to the airport, ISNA reported. Ghasem Taheri, the CEO of the company in charge of Mashhad’s metro said the airport is frequented by nearly 20,000 people each day, 10,000 of which can be carried through this train.
