Iran and Bulgaria signed a memorandum of understanding on Sunday to strengthen cooperation in cultural heritage areas. The agreement was signed by Seyyed Mohammad Beheshti, head of the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage, and Anastas Gerdzhikov, the rector of Sofia University — Bulgaria’s oldest institution of higher education. The two sides agreed, among other things, to exchange researchers, create research opportunities and share knowledge, Mehr News reported.
