The president of Iran-China Business Council has called for encouraging investors in the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to finance tourism projects in Iran.
Asadollah Asgaroladi made the call at a meeting with Perry Fung, HKTDC’s regional director for the Middle East and Africa, listing Esfahan, Fars, Khorasan, East Azarbaijan, West Azarbaijan and the Caspian Sea coasts as Iran’s top regions in need of investment, the Persian Daily Donya-e-Eqtesad reported.
Fung said most Hong Kongers are keen to visit unexplored countries like Iran.
“Iran is an ancient country with a rich and diverse history, a very appealing feature for people from Hong Kong,” he said.
Fung said companies in Hong Kong are looking for investment opportunities in Iran, many of whom can be encouraged to finance tourism projects.
