A total of 300 foreign investment companies have applied for registration in Khorasan Razavi Province, in the first half of the Iranian calendar year started March 21 with projects mostly relating to tourism, said Seyyed Ali Shahabi, the provincial head of Economy and Finance Organization, IRNA reported on Saturday.
The number of foreign investment applications has increased since last year. “A total of 317 foreign investment companies were registered in the province last year which equaled the total number of firms registered in the 10 precedent years,” said Shahabi.
“Khorasan Razavi is open to investors and all the applications have been approved,” he added.
The minimum level of investment for foreign companies is $900,000.
Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Kuwait have the most investment proposals in the province.
