The rulebook on online travel and tourism services has been approved by the Supervisory Committee for Online Businesses. Complied under a joint effort by Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization and the Civil Aviation Organization if Iran, the rulebook aims to ensure high quality services and protect consumers against fraud, according to Morteza Rahmani Movahed, tourism deputy at ICHHTO, IRNA reported. Movahed said once the regulations go into effect, only travel agencies with the electronic badge of trust “eNamad” will be able to offer online travel services. He did not disclose when the regulations will go into effect.
