Three illegal fishermen were caught fishing in the river Dez, Khuzestan Province. Their catch consisted of 61 river fish, the website of the Department of Environment (doe.ir) reported.
Meanwhile, far in the north, five illegal hunters were arrested in Meshkinshahr, Ardebil Province. Their hunting equipment along with five killed partridges were seized.
Public relations officer of Ardebil Department of Environment Hossein Dehqan asserted that it is not the hunting season anymore.
He asked those concerned about the environment to report to police and the DoE on poaching instances.
