Traveling between the United States, Mexico and Canada is about to get much easier. The United States Department of Homeland Security announced on Wednesday it was joining forces with Public Safety Canada and the Secretariat of Governance of Mexico to begin the creation of a North American Trusted Traveler network, Travel Pulse reported. The North American Trusted Traveler network would make it easier for eligible travelers to apply for expedited screening programs in all three countries. Mexican residents who are members of the Viajero Confiable program can now sign up for the US-Canada Nexus trusted traveler program, making it easier for customers in both United States and Canadian international airline terminals. On the other hand, Americans and Canadians can now apply to become members of Mexico’s Viajero Confiable program, which will save time for tourists and businesspeople arriving at international terminals in Mexico. Eligible travelers will be able to apply for each program beginning in 2016.
