The Fourth International Handicraft Exhibition opened in Tehran on Wednesday at Tehran’s International Permanent Fairground.

The exhibition, which ends on Monday, helps domestic and international artisans showcase their works. This year, artisans from Lebanon, Turkey, India, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Algeria, among others, have participated, IRNA reported.

Visitors have the opportunity to visit over 300 pavilions exhibition halls and can purchase items.

Last year, participants earned 12 billion rials ($363,000) and experts believe this year’s revenue will top last year’s, according to Bahman Namvar Motlaq, deputy for handicrafts at Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization.

The opening ceremony was attended by ambassadors and other representatives of participating nations, as well as Iranian officials, such as head of ICHHTO, Massoud Soltanifar, and the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare deputies.

The exhibition is open to public from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day until Monday.
