Tourism activists and hotel owners who plan to further develop their activities or set up new buildings, are given a 100% tax exemption for 6 years.
The 50% tax exemption for tourism constructions was also decided to be made permanent, head of the Majlis Economic Commission, Arsalan Fathipour, told CHN.
Earlier, 50% tax exemption was given for only 5 years.
The incentives are in line with the recent government policies to boost tourism. The country should attract 20 million tourists, according to its vision 2025 plan.
