On his trip to Greece, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed the possibility of starting direct flights between Iran and Greece, which was warmly received by the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament Zoi Konstantopoulou, ISNA reported. Zarif stressed the need for collaboration between the two countries to develop tourism, and said facilitating visa issuance would go a long way towards realizing that goal. For her part, Konstantopoulous spoke about the shared history of Iran and Greece and echoed Zarif's sentiments in regards to expanding tourism ties. "The rich history and civilization of the two nations provide a great opportunity to improve relations," she asserted.
