Thanks to the generosity of two Qazvini benefactors, Mulla Mahdi Mosque, dating back to the Qajar Era, was repaired and restored, IRNA quoted public relations office of Qazvin’s ICHHTO (Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization) as stating. Khalil Makari and Mohammad Esmaeel Jabbbariha covered the expenses of the restorative operation which began in March 2015. The operations included restoration of the southwestern arch and reinforcement of walls. The historical mosque is located in the provincial capital Qazvin, and is famous for its unique architecture and brickworks. In October 2001, the building was inscribed on the National Heritage List.
