Iran and Italy signed a memorandum of understanding for joint archeological projects at Persepolis, as stated on the website of the Cultural Heritage Organization (CHO). The MoU – focusing on research, education, and preservation - was signed between the head of the Research Institute of Iran CHO, Seyed Mohammad Beheshti, and head of the Cultural Heritage Department of Bologna University, Angelo Pompilio.
