A collection of exquisite Iranian handicraft is on display at Iran’s pavilion in Milan Expo 2015. The Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Mohammadreza Nematzadeh, visiting the exhibition and the site of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) said planning for an effective Iranian presence at the event commenced a year ago and Iran’s pavilion has been selected among the special attractions    of the expo. Expo Milan 2015, focusing on vegetation, food, and wellness, is a global event, expected to draw more than 20 million visitors, with the theme: Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. Nematzadeh emphasized the collaboration between various organizations to better administer Iran’s participation in the event, adding that ICHHTO has played “an important role in this regard and contributed greatly by preparing programs to best present Iran’s huge tourism potential” including display of handicraft,  customs and rituals, along with culinary traditions and Persian cuisine.
