Tehran municipality has defined 16 tourism routes for those planning to visit the city over the Nowruz holidays, ISNA reported. Half-day tours including old Tehran, Niavaran area, Milad tower, and Shemiran neighborhood are on the agenda. One-day tours include the ancient Rey district, Abbasabad recreational complex, Toghrol tower, and Azadi tower. Visitors who have a ‘Tehran Card’ will be offered a 75% discount between March 18 and April 3. Tehran Cards can be obtained at any Visit Tehran stalls in busy public places around the city such as metro stations and Shahrvand shopping centers. Exciting programs have been planned in the cultural-recreational centers such as Qasr Garden Museum, Entezami House museum, and Tehran Theater. Farhang-Gasht, a pilot program, will be implemented during the holiday period, secretary of Tehran Cultural-Touristic Centers Group Mehdi Mahmud-Aqdam said. The program is aimed at identifying tourism challenges, receiving feedback from the public, to redesign the tourism map and matrix. This, Mahmud-Aqdam added, will promote a tourism-friendly culture. The program will highlight potentials and challenges of tourism. It will also help strengthen the local content of tourist attractions.
