In a joint attempt by Kermanshah provincial office of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) and the province’s transportation companies guild and the transportation and terminals organization of Kermanshah, a series of hospitality services courses for bus drivers is underway in Kermanshah Province prior to the Nowruz holidays. The courses aim at improving the quality of services offered to visitors and empowering the human resources of Kermanshah tourism industry, said the head of public relations of province’s ICHHTO, Ali Fa’legari. He added tourism is among the main lines of the province development and to achieve that, personnel should be trained, CHTN quoted him saying. Over 12 courses on various topics including personal and communication skills (e.g. speaking, behavior, and appearance), hospitality services for passengers and tourists, basic concept of passenger  transportation, customer care and services, and assisting tourists, explained Majid Karami, transportation economy expert and university professor. Bus drivers and the personnel of domestic transport cooperatives are attending, he noted.
