Iran Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) has permitted the UAE airline, Air Arabia, to launch new flight routes between the state of Sharjah and Iranian cities of Sanandaj, Lamard, Isfahan, and Mashhad.

As described on the CAO website, two Sharjah to Lamard return-flights per week will be launched from March 12, while two return-flights between Isfahan and the UAE city will commence from March 17. The number of flights to Isfahan will increase to three from April 1. Three weekly flights to and from Sharjah to Mashhad are also scheduled to be added from the same date.

The head of Iran CAO, Alireza Jahangirian, in a meeting with Tunisian ambassador to Tehran, Ghazi Bin Saleh, voiced Iran’s readiness to commence the flights to carry travelers between the two countries from the coming Nowruz, Iranian New Year (starting March 21). The flights will be in line with the components of the MoU, signed in 2006, to expand bilateral ties between Iran and Tunisia.
