The 8th Tehran International Tourism Exhibition officially ended on Sunday February 15, after a four successful days of conferences and exhibitions.
Representatives from all Iranian provinces, and international delegates from Switzerland, Tunisia, South Korea, Turkey, Armenia, Thailand, India, Vietnam, Venezuela, and China presented their materials, tour and travel packages, and introduced their culture and tourism industry potentials in 344 pavilions in 7 halls.
Many senior officials from in and outside the country visited the venue. Secretary-general of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Taleb D. Rifai, first vice president, Es’haq Jahangiri, head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO), Masoud Soltanifar, the minister of Sport and youth, Mahmoud Goudarzi, members of Tehran City Council, other officials from ICHHTO, and experts, tour operators and others involved in tourism industry were among them.
Alongside the exhibition, three workshops introducing new marketing methods, health tourism and tourism development were held.
The highest number of visitors went to the Iranian provinces section where traditional music and rituals were performed live.
