Park rangers in Sorkh-e-Hessar protected area in eastern Tehran apprehended a group of poachers. Emamali Yeganzadeh, director of Sorkhe-e-Hessar and Khojeir national parks, said an eviscerated wild sheep was discovered in their vehicle, the provincial office of Department of Environment reported. "The poachers will be prosecuted," he said, without disclosing the number of poachers arrested or the type of punishment awaiting them. Sorkh-e-Hessar is a national park in eastern Tehran, spanning 9,000 hectares.
