PNU to Host UNESCO Program

Payame Noor University of Iran will soon host UNESCO’s environmental education program following a recent agreement. The program covers educational material on reducing consumption and promoting recycling and waste management through unofficial sessions held by public-based administrations, ISNA quoted Seyyed Mohammad Shobeiri, the head of environment faculty at PNU, as saying. Lasting four years, the program will be co-organized by the Ministry of Education, provincial municipalities, the Department of Environment, domestic research centers and international research centers. Shobeiri noted that the project will help develop an integrated environmental education, research and technology system, gradually promoting an environment friendly behavior and culture.
