Iran’s Aircraft Manufacturing Company (HESA) and Isfahan’s Department of Environment have joined forces to protect the environment using domestically-made drones, Tasnim News Agency reported. HESA Director Mohammad Ali Sirati said the drones will be used to locate illegal hunters and fishermen, detect wildfires or emergency incidents, and patrol and protect oil and gas pipelines. Established in 1976, HESA is a division of the Iran Aviation Industries Organization headquartered in Shahinshahr, Isfahan Province. In recent years, Iran has made great headway in aerospace industries, particularly the acquisition of technology to manufacture drones.
