Rouhani: Tehran Ready to Give Diplomacy a Chance

President Hassan Rouhani said on Monday his administration is set to utilize every means and opportunity, including diplomatic openings, to safeguard national interests.
He said officials would spare no effort to address the problems and employ every tool to protect people’s interests, Tasnim News Agency reported.
“It is necessary to resist when it benefits us, and as we are standing for our national interests and independence, we will not get tired,” the president said, referring to Iran’s efforts to counter the US “maximum pressure” campaign.
Pointing to ongoing negotiations with Europeans on the preservation of the nuclear deal led by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, he stressed that the administration “will not refrain from attending a meeting when it serves national interests and helps resolve the problems of people”.
Rouhani said although Tehran is bearing the negative impacts of sanctions, its reciprocal move to reduce its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal is taking place in a phased manner.
“The two-month intervals between the stages of reducing commitment to the nuclear deal are meant to give diplomacy a chance,” he said.
The EU’s inaction to compensate for US sanctions after its exit from the nuclear deal forced Tehran to stop honoring some of its nuclear commitments.

Well to be honest as americans we have been following your stories and have to say very happily we see good things in your President - in looking towards and in honor. We have noticed the negotiations that your country completes with the United States is always done with substance, depth, style and well grace. We are looking forward to the United States to answer in a fair manner and to stop the style of some things that do not really make any sense. Thank you President Rouhani and Mr. Zarif for setting such fantastic examples to the world - we are awaiting for nothing but better and new relations - to be honest. Well who are we? We are regular everyday people that have everything good to say - a business man from your country saved my Mother literally in Santa Cruz, California with her Apartment business - we will never forget the experience. Your people are the best we can whole heartily proclaim. The real truth and stories need to surface on the East and the West is what we want to see soon in the new journalism, it will be coming to a town near you soon, shall we say. Keeping our fingers crossed. In closing good to know that the United States will be wanting to reach for the people of Iran as it is like a thirst of wanted knowledge that has been lost - well time to start a new page we say. Hello Iran ...!
