The Majlis deputy speaker said there is enormous potential for expansion of political and economic relations between Iran and Germany.
Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabifard made the remarks in a meeting with Vice President of Germany’s Bundestag Claudia Roth in Tehran on Sunday, ISNA reported.
He described relations between Tehran and Berlin as “good” and “long-lasting”, highlighting the role of the two countries’ parliaments in facilitating efforts to increase bilateral cooperation.
The German official, for her part, said there are many areas for mutual cooperation, adding that cooperation should not be limited to the negotiations on the dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program.
