In a recent meeting with Ghanaian Vice president Kwesi Amissah-Arthur in Accra, the foreign ministry’s director general for Africa , Valiollah Mohammadi submitted an invitation by President Hassan Rouhani for his Ghanaian counterpart John Dramani Mahama to visit Iran, IRNA reported.
The Ghanaian vice president referred to close relations between the two countries and expressed confidence that the visit by the West African country’s president to Iran would provide a good opportunity for strengthening bilateral ties.
Mohammadi, for his part, pointed to the agreements reached in the fifth meeting of the Iran-Ghana joint commission and said the Islamic Republic is ready for cooperation in various areas, including the petrochemical industry and transfer of technology.
