Larijani Urges Closer Int’l Parliamentary Coop.

Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has called for closer cooperation between parliaments to cope with the challenges of an increasingly interlinked world. 
Larijani traveled to Doha, Qatar, on Saturday to attend the annual meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which began on April 6 and lasts until April 10. 
A range of issues, including the role of parliaments as platforms to enhance education for peace, security and the rule of law, is being discussed at the global meeting of parliamentarians, IPU’s website reported. 
The Majlis speaker attended the opening session of the summit on Sunday and met with a number of his counterparts and other senior officials on the sidelines of the forum.
