Iran a Leading Drone Maker

Iran is one of the major producers of military drones in the world, a commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force said.
Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh told IRNA on Monday that the Iranian armed forces can manufacture any drone they need through reliance on the skills of domestic experts, adding that such achievements have been made despite western sanctions and pressures.
His remarks came a few days after the Air Force unveiled its first wide-body unmanned aerial vehicle, dubbed Khodkar (Automatic), which has been fully designed and manufactured by domestic engineers.
Khodkar, an upgraded version of T-33 training aircraft, is equipped with advanced cameras and communications systems.
