Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano has reaffirmed that Iran is in compliance with the nuclear agreement it signed with the world powers, saying it is "essential" that Iran continue to fully implement its commitments. “Iran is implementing its nuclear-related commitments under the JCPOA," the IAEA chief added, Mehr News Agency reported. Amano said the UN nuclear agency continues to verify and monitor Iran's implementation of its nuclear-related commitments under the 2015 agreement, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The IAEA on August 30 reaffirmed Iran's full compliance with its commitments under the JCPOA in the second such report after the US abandoned the historic agreement in May.
