Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei conferred with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Tehran on Friday. The visiting Russian President Vladimir Putin also met the Leader. Details of the talks were not available as the paper went to print.
The Turkish leader earlier in the day attended a summit on the war in Syria with President Hassan Rouhani and Putin.
Rouhani told the meeting that the bloodshed and the protracted conflict in the Arab country is coming to an end. He stressed that terrorism in Syria must be uprooted, especially in Idlib Province, in the interest of peace and stability in the strategic region.
