The Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Monday condemning a terrorist attack on the Jordanian police which killed five security forces and wounded several others. Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi condemned the attack and expressed sympathy with the government and people of the Arab kingdom and the bereaved families of victims, Mehr News Agency reported. Five security personnel were killed in a terrorist attack in the Jordanian cities of Fuhais and Salt. The attackers targeted a security patrol and a residential building. According to a announcement by Jordan's Interior Minister Sameer al-Mobaideen, the perpetrators of the attack supported the so-called Islamic State terrorist group. There are reports of more violence against security and civilian targets, the minister was quoted as saying.
