President Felicitates Niger Independence Day

President Hassan Rouhani congratulated his Niger counterpart Mahamadou Issoufou on the occasion of his country’s Independence Day. In a message Saturday, Rouhani offered felicitations to the Niger people and government and expressed hope that bilateral ties would develop further. "I extend congratulations to Your Excellency and the Niger nation, as you celebrate your 58th  Independence Day," Rouhani said in his message to Issoufou. He hoped relations between the two countries would grow in all fields and in the interest of the two peoples.  “I wish Your Excellency good health, happiness and every success, as well as the well-being and prosperity of the people of Niger.” Independence Day in the Republic of Niger is commemorated on August 3, marking the nation's independence from France in 1960.
