Iran and Indonesia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to broaden cooperation in fields related to empowering women.
The MoU was inked between Iran’s vice president for women and family affairs, Masoumeh Ebtekar and the visiting Indonesian minister of women’s empowerment, Johnna Susana Yam Baysa.
Ways to enhance and develop cooperation in the field of empowering women and protecting children on the basis of equality and mutual respect are included in the agreement, Mehr News Agency reported.
Expanding and developing the participatory role of women in trade and development of technology, strengthening and empowering women economically and exchanging information and technical knowhow have been cited as the objectives of the cooperation agreement.
This MoU is valid for two years and can be renewed.
