Indian Frigate Docks at Bandar Abbas

India’s INS Tarkash frigate docked at the southern Bandar Abbas Port on Tuesday, said Vice Admiral Mojtaba Mohammadi. During three-day call, the Indian crew will visit first naval zone of the Iranian Armed Forces, he said, adding that military officials of the two countries will discuss the security of regional waterways, Mehr News Agency reported. Expressing satisfaction over his presence to Iran, Captain Ajay Daniel Theophilus called for expanding naval ties between the two countries. He also hoped that India could hold a joint naval drills  with Iranian forces by the end of their visit.
