The Cabinet on Sunday reviewed proposals from the European Union regarding ways and means to save the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

During the meeting chaired by President Hasssan Rouhani, the Foreign Ministor Mohammad Javad Zarif briefed the participants on the details of the  negotiations with the European Union, Mehr News Agency reported.

All the ministries were was tasked with following up the case of European commitment to the international agreement.

Foreign ministers of Iran, France, Germany, Russia, Britain and China convened in Vienna on Friday to discuss ways to preserve the 2015 nuclear deal after Donald Trump abandoned the agreement in May. The five remaining signatories to the deal  offered Iran economic proposals to help it stay in the landmark agreement seen as crucial for regional and international peace and stability.
