MPs Will Analyze EU Offer on JCPOA

Members of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission in a meeting to be attended by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will review Europe’s offer to save the 2015 nuclear deal, a lawmaker said. Speaking to Tasnim News Agency on Saturday, Mohammad Ebrahim Rezaei, pointed to recent talks in Vienna on the 2015 nuclear deal and said members of the commission will discuss the EU proposal in their upcoming meeting. Foreign ministers of the five remaining signatories to the deal (France, Germany, UK, China and Russia) and Iran met in the Austrian capital on Friday to discuss ways and means to salvage the historic deal and deliver the economic assurances demanded by Tehran.  Zarif, deputy foreign minister, Seyed Abbas Araqchi and other members of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team will be invited to meeting, he said. After reviewing the EU offer and hearing the views of the negotiating team, the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission will prepare a report and submit it to the Majlis Presiding Board.
