Saudi, UAE Bombing on Yemeni Civilians Denounced

The Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the intensification of airstrikes on Yemeni residential areas by the Saudi and Emirati bombers and fighter jets, saying the atrocious targeting of women and children further demonstrates the invading coalition’s failure to achieve its targets in Yemen. In a statement on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi condemned the US-backed Saudi-led airstrikes on Yemen’s residential areas in Sa’dah and on a passenger bus carrying displaced Yemenis in Hudeidah port, Tasnim News Agency reported. Voicing sympathy with the families of victims of the attacks, Qassemi said the brutal airstrikes on residential areas show the Saudi-led coalition’s desperation and failure to meet its objectives. He deplored the support that some western countries are providing Saudi Arabia by supplying it arms and reinforcing the kingdom’s arsenals. The spokesman called on the international community to compel Saudi Arabia and the UAE to stop slaughtering innocent  Yemeni civilians. Attacking residential areas and civilian targets, and preventing international organizations from supplying relief and aid are in violation of humanitarian laws, he said.
