Relations With Italy Making Progress

The Italian Ambassador in Iran Mauro Conciatori said he hopes the two countries would boost cooperation in diverse fields following the formation of a new government in the European country. Speaking to Tasnim News Agency, Conciatori said bilateral relations are progressing “very well” in the political, economic, and cultural domains. He pointed to the recent general elections and formation of a new government in his country, saying that political meetings between Iranian and Italian officials are expected to be held in the near future. Asked about the fate of the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and six world powers, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Conciatori expressed optimism that the deal will be saved.
