The secretary general of the Moderation and Development Party told Fars news agency on Sunday that the party will become more active in the near future.
Mohammad Baqer Nobakht, who is also the government spokesperson, said the party is supposed to “steer a middle course” between the two existing political groupings, namely the reformists and principlists.
He said the party has no intention to refute reformism or principlism.
Elsewhere, he said President Hassan Rouhani was the party’s candidate in the last presidential election in 2013.
