Armenia Leader Wants New Impetus in Ties

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia said Friday his country attaches importance to relations with Tehran, saying he wants to see the bilateral ties improve further. “We will make maximum efforts to further develop the two-way partnership. We are interested in giving new impetus to the Armenian-Iranian ties based on mutual interest”, the premier said, Armenpress reported. He made the remarks during a meeting with Iran’s ambassador, Kazem Sajjadi. Sajjadi highlighted the need to use the existing potential in bilateral cooperation and noted that the conditions exist for expanding and deepening economic ties. He emphasized the need to take consistent and effective steps to develop cooperation in the tourism sector and called for the improvement of relevant infrastructure. The two men also took stock of joint investment projects.
