Literati Urged to Promote Resistance and Justice

Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said poets and writers should promote the values of  “resistance and justice” in their works and should not be indifferent towards political developments in the Muslim world. In a meeting with a group of poets and literary experts on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that poets should feel bound to promote qualities such as “justice, resistance and moral virtues” in their works,  and cautioned against plots by the opponents of the Islamic Revolution for impairing poetic works and associating it with “superficiality in thought, insouciance in action, passiveness in politics, and indifference toward confronting the enemy,” his official website reported.
