The nuclear chief said on Friday the major powers have no option but to engage with Iran because it has taken away all excuses from them.
Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Director Ali Akbar Salehi said, “My view on the process of the (nuclear) talks is positive as the other side is left with no option but to engage with Iran because we have taken away all excuses in terms of technical aspects from them,” ISNA reported.
“If the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) backs away from the nuclear negotiations, the world’s public opinion will turn against them,” he said.
In addition, he said Iran agreed to redesign the Arak heavy water reactor to reduce its plutonium output and make modifications in its uranium enrichment program to ease concerns over its nuclear work to pave the way for a “win-win interaction.”
